Unforgivably bad usability and functionality.

DC Metro

Hey is this Free ? No mention of fairs

Very helpful

This app helps me all the time to manage my travel throughout DC. Metro delays, timing and directions included are wonderful.

Pathetic

This is one of those instances where if I could give it zero stars, I would. Just like the metro itself, this app is horrible. Its never accurate. Most of the time, you dont even get an eta.

Worthless app

I just tried to map a route from one metro station to another, with just one line change, and got an error message that it couldnt plan a "subway only" route and I should try adding bus options.

Needs updated

Used to work ok but lately the advisories do not download (spins and spins like its trying to download but eventually times out, even when on my 100mbps wifi network) also the app looks horrible zoomed in since it hasnt been updated for the 6/6s/6+/6s+ screen sizes. I really hope they fix these problems and update the app quickly.

please fix this app

it is great to use however it has a problem.

Not 100%, but better than other apps

This app is not 100%, but better than other apps. The live data is almost correct... however, there are issues. Im at Rosslyn waiting for train that never showed (1507 Orange Line towards Vienna). There have been many other times when the schedule is off.

OK

I used this for a long time, but lately the advisory function completely stopped working, the support website doesnt exist, it suddenly wants to use my location even when not using the app, and plus the graphics are huge and pixelated as if the interface was designed for the 3GS. Beyond that, it is (was) a pretty solid app

Worst App on my iPhone

I dont normally write reviews on apps, but this one is so terrible I felt compelled to vent. This is the worst travel app I have ever used. Not a single one of the planning, service outage, or live update tools actually function. I am writing this review about a week after service was shut down due to a blizzard, and the app still says that service is suspended...which it hasnt been for a week. The only thing this app is good for is providing a map of the metro, youd be better off just taking a screen shot instead of wasting space on your phone with this piece of crap app.

I love this simple map

Especially good as a basic reference for the metro lines for newcomers to DC.

Great resource

It works as advertised. The service alerts work when they want, which cost the app a 5 star rating.

DC Transit

As a senior visitor, I would love the cleanliness, the efficiency, the accessibility, and the courtesy of the employees who are actually out there talking with/helping old ladies like me. HOWEVER, Ive never been able or access a "station manager", who is supposedly the only person who can tell me how I can get a senior discount card! Therefore, Im giving 2 stars instead of 5!

Mainly useful for alerts on Apple Watch

I have this app set to push service alerts to my Apple Watch. Ill get a vibration on my wrist and Ill see the iTrans logo and Ill know somethings up. Thats very useful. Beyond that, the app is so-so. I pretty much use it exclusively for the service alerts. But if you dont see those when they first appear, the app is a little brain-damaged because on the phone, it always says the alert was five hours ago, regardless of the actual time. Thats not helpful because I dont know whether to be concerned. But on the watch, its great.

Orange-Blue-Silver stations are wrong

The app has the Silver line east bound train times mixed in with the west bound Orange and Blue line times at stations the share. Vice versa for west bound silver line trains. Very confusing to look at and would just require a simple fix to make this a five star app. Otherwise useless for riders on those lines, hence the 1 star.

Perfect To Navigate DC Metro System

Used this App extensively to tour DC. Interactive Map along with static map when there is no cell or wifi connection. You have ability to plan trip by entering point to point and current train times are shown. All in all a very good travel aid.

Stopped working

I installed the app last week, as I am in the DC area on a family emergency. For the first several days, it worked great. It was a real help with learning the system; I relied on it for planning my connections on the Metro Rail. But it stopped working three days ago. It will NOT plan any trips at all. The only function that seems to work is the map, and I can Google that. Uninstalled.

USELESS

If you only want to see the service map, this is fine. If you want to plan a trip from point to point, its useless. Regardless of what time or date is selected, or what starting and ending locations, the only response is "Unable to route." Then says to try other trans method (bus instead of subway or vice versa) which yields the same "unable to route" response. Had to use website for all trip fares and times. Very disappointed.

Horrible

Worst app ever!! Every time I try to do a trip planner an error message always pops up prompting me to change the time or change to bus route only. I wouldnt recommend this app to anyone! I just go directly to wmatas website.

Its not working!

I use the feature that shows me when Im supposed to get to another stop but its not working and I need that feature! Please fix this!!
