Used to be good - Now its terrible

When I first started using this app several years ago it worked pretty well. However, for the past year or so, it has become almost useless for route planning and timely service alerts as described in other negative reviews. This seems especially strange to me, since I also regularly use iTrans NYC, and it works flawlessly.
